Featuring the theme Treasures of Nature – Extraordinary Hakka, the ninth 'Genesis and Spirit—Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH)' Exhibition and Demonstration Series will showcase Jiangxi Province's remarkable representative items of the national ICH through exhibits, graphics, texts and video screenings, in tandem with on-site demonstrations by ICH bearers and interactive experiential activities. Display items including Gannan Hakka pounded tea making technique, Jingdezhen handcrafted porcelain technique, Jialu paper umbrella making technique, Pingxiang Xiangdong Nuo Masks, Shicheng lantern festival, and Gannan Tea Plucking Opera, taking visitors through an interesting journey to learn about the Jiangxi's Ganzhou Hakka culture.
This exhibition is one of the programmes of "Hong Kong ICH Month 2025", "Chinese Cultural Festival 2025" and also the Chinese Culture Promotion Series. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has long been promoting Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public to learn more about the broad and profound Chinese culture.
Demonstrations and Experiential Activities
During the exhibition period, a variety of public and school programmes will be organised, introducing the ICH items of Jiangxi and encouraging exchanges with the ICH bearers and performers from Jiangxi.
